  • What is the difference between anti-wrinkles and dermal fillers?
Anti-wrinkle injections work by relaxing the muscles of the face, preventing them from contracting and causing wrinkles. Dermal fillers inject collagen-stimulating substances into the middle and upper layers of the dermis, which plumps the skin up and lifts the skin out of wrinkles to create a smoother appearance.

  • How long is an appointment?
An appointment may take up to 20mins to 1 hour, depending on the treatment you are having. A general consultation will take 20-30 mins, as this will allow time to discuss your concerns and we can do a thorough, initial full-face assessment. This means I can give you the best advice, treatment plan and care.
  • Do I need to prepare before my dermal filler or anti-wrinkle treatment?
YES, you do: Please avoid taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatories or herbal medication. Avoid alcoholic beverages for 24 hours prior to procedure. Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or the use of hair removal creams in the area to be treated. If you have any history of Herpes Simplex (cold sores) on your face, make sure you take anti-viral tablets one week prior to your appointment to prevent an outbreak. Sunburnt skin is difficult to treat so avoid exposure to the sun. Eat a small meal or a snack before your appointment. Always inform us at the clinic of all medications, including supplements you may be taking as well as your medical history. Please arrive to your appointment with a clean face, and free of make-up face would be preferred. See Treatment Aftercare page for more.
  • Are any of your treatments medical?
Yes, I often treat hyperhidrosis, which is excessive sweating – a very common complaint and a very easy solution! Severe migraines can be resolved by administering anti-wrinkle. This is a great treatment for anyone suffering from this condition. Bell’s Palsy can be treated under the advice of our medical doctor. Blepharospasm is a rare condition that causes your eyelid to blink or twitch. This is called involuntary blinking or twitching. The twitching is caused by a muscle spasm around your eye, and this can be treated with anti-wrinkle.
